I tell you what Jon - your car looked a bit big in my rearview mirror earlier when I saw you, very nice mate!

The front was up a bit due to the fact I had 90 bottles of wine and 10 cases of beer in the back plus the tool box afew packs of ciggys and some tobacco, I love france and belgium!!!! Oh and I seem to have blown a rear bearing on the way home??

what does a bearing blow behanve like in case I get one..?
mine was a bit down too with a boot full of tools and the spare slung in the back, that trailer riding at a dodgy height too didnt help

But the transfer case doesn't just feed the front diff, does it? Drive goes through transfer case and you select whether to direct drive to just the rear or the front or rear diffs?

I am sure I have seen some re gearing kits to lower the drive ratio's on some of the american site for 'rock crawling'...?

In H it goes straight through, only L range goes though gears, so you can't alter H's ratio. You only get lower gears for when in L range which won't help you for normal driving.

The lower gears for T/case's only fit gear driven T/cases, all Auto Surfs are chain driven, and I think the manual one's are as well, but not sure.
