This may be a simple one but just want to see what you guys think. Truck is a 2.4 1994 pickup 2WD, many miles. The clutch is usually okay, perhaps if you dump it a bit quick when having to speed off from a junction it'll slip a bit, but lately it is doing it more. When the engine is fairly cold it's fine, but at the other end of a run (motorway) it is starting to let go on its own. Then later that day, engine cold again, seems fine till hot. Pedal action feels fine, need to let it out a long way till it bites though, have flushed out the fluid. Do I just get a new clutch or is there anything else I should know? Thanks!

Originally posted by johnnyrodNo signs of oil leak, thought about that too. Will read up on how to adjust play. When you say new clutch plate, you mean the plate with the friction lining I take it?
Correct. As you say that you have a long pedal travel, coupled with the slipping, means the friction lining has worn down to it's limit.
