After takin out the alternator tonite there was 2 pipes to remove and they were mounted on the ports marked X in the pic. They are oil lines are they and why?
Also marked 'Y' in the pic is a sensor of some sort maybe but the red wire to it has been cut by a PO. Whats that about bearing in mind my engine was originally a 2LTE, and more importantly can I sell the sensor
?
Then there was another connection, it was like a fuel leakage return ring from the top of an injector. It bolted to the block behind the alternator. Whats that about? I'll stick that in the 2nd attachment (marked 'T')

I'm sure theres oil dripping out of one of them in the shed Morr

Nev's done it, I went to bed.
There should also be a smaller pipe at the rear which is the pipe which creates vacuum for the rest of the system, ADD etc. There should also be 2 oil connections. The splines on my alts main shaft went about 2 years ago and had to get it reconditioned. Cost about €250, but cheaper than €1500
for a new one.
