Hi, probably a real noob question but here goes. My wagon is a Hilux pickup 1994 2.4D 2WD, just bought it recently.
I've been told by Toyota that the LSPV (load sensing valve) is seized solid - makes sense as the back brakes are too powerful when it's empty. A new one is a heinous £330 from Toyota, can I do something with the old one? I've not removed it for inspection yet, but it's not something I've seen before - the plan at the moment is to take it off and see if I can figure it out/make it work/jam it in the low load position perhaps as a last resort. The brakes otherwise work fine, and I've flushed the fluid out for good measure.
If it is banjoed, can anyone recommend a breaker? I've tried a load but if it isn't 4WD the answer always seems to be no.
