hello, i have a 1994 3.0l automatic diesel surf, i have started to have this issue where, travelling along at 100km/h or so the revs will be at 2000 or above, then it will drop a gear for no reason, as if you have taken the over drive off?
It will do this every 20 seconds or so, usually for a second or 2 then go back to normal, it has only just started but is getting worse. some times it will not go into top gear.
It only really does this when the car is cold, usually later in the day once it has been driven a bit it will run fine. The auto electrician has done tests on the computer, the transmission guy has checked that, both are fine.
something is telling the car to change down for some reason?
Has anyone else had this problem? or does anyone have a possible solution or want to have a guess? any help would be awesome!
thanks.
