  • Problems when starting

    Can anyone help me?? My surf 91 starts ok when cold, but after driving around a bit then start again, it does'nt want to start straight away, I have to turn ignition off and start again, sometimes it will go other wise it takes a litlle longer. I have replaced glow plugs already.

    Have you got any kind of immobiliser on it? could be playin up when warm

      Other possibilities........Dirty air filter, or air in the fuel.

        Thanks, I have replace the air filter. How do you remove air from the fuel filter?

            you can try and undo the tap on the bottom of the filter and prime it by pumping fuel through with the pump on the top of it.

                if tht doesn't work try losening the jectors as per below:

                loosen one
                turn engine over untill fuel comes out
                tighten

                loosen next
                turn over engine untill air comes out
                tighten

                etc etc

                do this to all four
