v8 conversion

    The main benefit of the standard V6 is that surfs with them in are very cheap and a little bit faster than the diesel ones. That's about it. Main problem is that they like to blow head gaskets and are a perfect combination of thirsty and slow.

    I believe, although I may be wrong, that your best bet for a replacement would be a Supra twin turbo engine. Have a look here:

    If I was going to put a diesel engine in, I'd go for the 3.0, not the 2.4. Probably about the same amount of nightmare but you would be overtake tractors.

      rover v8s go two a penny almost, but you'll need a conversion kit / bellhousing adaptor. Carbed 3.5 is probably the easiest and most widely available, but if you can get an engine with ECU and loom a 3.5 or 3.9 EFI would go in.

                  Anybody got anything to say before i take the plunge. (w.t.f does n/a stand for)

                    NA = Naturally aspirated..... as in NO TURBO!
