  • i agree that the solution is to have a right side snorkel set up.
and it will be more cleaner looking and more effective to bring cold air in.

    • No longer have a job and need to sell my house. So this project might have to stop for the time being

I'm going to put the truck back on the road (MOT tomorrow) as I'm selling my summer run-around too.

      I hope I won't have to...but I might have to sell everything...including tools.

      Wish me luck guys

            • Ah right. Would need start up costs for that. Plus wouldn't want suing when one exploded!

                  • Shame the refurb was on hold as I could have done a lot of the work with the tank off, brake pipes off and been cleaning it. Got pipes made up and put back in place.

                    • Brake pipes made already? speedy work...

                      • It would probably be them I went to though.

I could take them off and match their shaper perfectly (I have the correct pipe bender). But the car would then need towing to the garage.

The cost is labour for the most part. I think.

It's a shame as I would have liked to have done the lot during the refurb.

                        • Why would the car need towing to the garage?

You can drive to a prebooked MOT perfectly legally with insurance, no MOT and no tax.

                          • I'm talking about if I removed the brake pips myself to save on labour costs

                              • When I said "got brake pipes made up" I meant "get" in context with me describing the preferred process.

                                Sorry
