  • Lexurf IV - The Second Coming

I wasn't sure where to put this thread, but I thought it fitted best in here. Lexurf IV came to me as a project, this thread will document its return to life.

At the moment, she won't start. So, the first jobs are to free off the starter and fit this lot -

Coils, MAF, TPS and the igniter thingies have already been replaced.

I have a feeling I might see this truck soon.

Looking forward to your thread and the trucks progress.

Good luck getting it up and running. Will be a great moment when it sparks up again.
Are they the oem NGK's you are using?

No, they are Iridium IX (I have no idea what IX means)

You will, but maybe not for the reasons you think

He did. This one isn't a massive project as such, it just needs fettling.

And there's no 's' in Lexurf

just a thought - i used those pattern o2 sensors - one lasted 3 weeks and the other died after 2 months.

the guys in the lexus dealers sold me 2 ngk ones for £80 - still working now.

also had a carbon brush disintegrate on one of rock autos delco dizzy caps after 400mls - changed them for bosch ones which are still working now.

                            maybe i'm just unlucky

The caps are intermotor and the arms are blueprint, they should be OK?

I've ordered the O2 Sensors, if they fail, I'll get better ones. Hopefully they'll be OK until I get the thing running properly.
