    Fitted gas struts too!
Opening the bonnet is a one handed operation now, just pull the release in the cab, flip the catch, raise bonnet the first six inches and then it raises itself all the way to maximum.

I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew with this. Is there anyone on here that can help / do the work, or at least know of a man who can?
    Thanks for any help
Bushwhacker is the guy to talk to as i think would like to see what the lexus engine would fit like in the 3rd gen.

I think it's discussed a few pages back. It's possible to retrofit to a 3rd gen,you have to swap output shafts, as the transfer box is located differently to a 3rd gen....but spot on mister, this will be worth following.

Only thing is the damm fools dont have a clue what their doing.
Vosa.. "Its failed on emissions mate"
    Me..."you have entered the engine as a 3.1 litre diesel...its a 6.0 litre petrol"

    vosa..."no its not"

me..."you areally are crap aintcha"...cue, bonnet up and there is a 6.0 litre v8...standard hummer fare....muppets.
This scenario is repeated for the brake test. They initially failed it because the fronts didnt lock up...err...ABS FOOLS!!!!!

And so it went on.This is why my predictive text was so profoundly wrong....total breakdown of normal, sane behaviour>

Whats a distance cap? Is it for engines soooo huge that the ignition system is very far away?

Iwas very pleased about the plug lead and distance cap price. Dome are charging double that...and second hand ones on eBay for £40 quid!
