  • thanks for that if you post it to my work as not in the house in the day

dan blakeley, 2020liverpool, west house, mercury court, tithebarn street, liverpool, L2 2QP

have tried both speedos from both TC's and they both give the same reading so i gather the speedo on the dash is not reading the signal right. it is all wired in right i think to get some reading.

There's no room for it Alan.
Remove the viscous fan, but the pulley needs to be re-fitted for the belt.

        • got the hydorcarbon sensor on the truck this morning and it was 0.6% @ 750RPM and 0.7% at 2500rpm so it is running a bit rich but after tested the lambda sensor as only tested the passenger side bank and the sensor doesnt work as got multimeter on it and there was no resistance reading but were on the drivers side which we didnt test!?!? so with no lambda sensor its running just a bit rich so getting a new one. also chatting to a few others around our end who have done the conv they got a 5.5ohm inline resister to wire to the sub sensor as it needs to know that everything is alright post cat well thats what you make it think so it runs a bit better! so going to do that as well and then test it again!

          • Is that at normal operating temp?
The 02 sensors are open loop until the engine is warm.
            Mine is 0.6 @ 3000rpm.

            • yeah it was the engine was up to temperature he said for an engine like that it should be about 0.6% at 750rpm and 0.4% at 2-3000rpm i think for MoT purposes so it would have failed but will have to see what the DVLA set my levels at once they finally sort the paperwork out

              • just an update on the cooling system have put in a rover 216 / 25 coolant expansion bottle fits quite nicely where the fuel filter used to be be of metal straps to hold in place and job done if fill to minimum on the bottle it expands just to under the pipe coming into the bottle from the side. the cap releases at 1 bar / 14.5 psi so about he same as the lexus on did. it just fits in i think it probably touches the underside of the bonnet. also need to trim the pipe at the bottom of the bottle a bit so can close the bonnet and get the sweep of the pipe. with the gas conversion etc not much room left for anything. the level of liquid is about the same level as the top of the cap between the egnie and radiator.

it seems to be working well and the temp gauge actaully seems to be a little cooler at operating speed?
