Here's the oil filter relocation kit fitted to the block....

    Driver's side engine mount...

Corner cut off resonator box on the intake...(Yes I know I've sealed it with gaffer tape, but it's coming off soon to be replaced by polished stainless ducting)

    Radiator clearance...

    Sump/relay rod clearance...

Showing handbrake pulley assembly re-mounted the other side of the bulkhead...

    Hope that helps.

          Thanks.
All 2.4s should look like that. The burgundy ones anyway.

Yeah, I re-sprayed it all as it got grubby from when I cleaned out the intake plenum and throttle body, the throttle response is instant now!
I removed the Lexus badge after the install 'cos I damaged it, it's only a plastic stick on emblem.

thanks bushwhacker for those pics i think its more of a bit of reassurance that i am on the right lines. if anything you have the engine sitting slightly higher than i do but i found out why!
it was to do with the steering damper cast ring missing the sump when turning right! was thinking of grinding that off to get the engine to sit slightly lower as going to have to rejig the steering damper position and mounts anyway!?
im just a bit concerned about the steering and the exhaust as i have it about 5mm away form the exhaust and if i lift the engine higher then it be touching, just worried about the heat from the exhaust affecting the the steering column. can pick up tundra exhaust manifolds at £120 a side thinking of getting the right hand side just to keep a safe distance from the steering.
with mainly wanting to use it for offroading just though trying to keep things as far a part as possible would be best. but i could be being over cautious!?

P.S. BigBob you can get a product called gunk from halfords that cleans all the crap off the engine and yeah get your own thread! thanks lovely boyo

Yeah that cast ring is going to be ground off on mine and fabricate a bracket like the one shown below to to hold the end of the damper.

My steering shaft doesn't seem affected by the manifolds. I'm going to replace that colapsable part with a solid shaft for more clearance anyway, you can buy them here....http://www.cbsonline.co.uk/steering-...llnk-926-p.asp

If you want to fit different manifolds hen they need to be a matched pair otherwise the engine won't run smoothly.

thats alright then! just measuring up for the front mounts at the moment so hopefully have that done in a week or so and then the engine will be held by the chassis and the for the final stage of attaching everything back together! and turning the key to start it

while waiting for mounts to be fabbed i was going to tackle the tank. i did keep the fuel pump from the car but i doubt it would fit. there is a guy on lextreme about the same stage as me and said he was after the skyline fuel pump so assumed thats the standard everyone uses!? so on ebay and the breaker sites at the mo hunting for one. dont have spare do you??

hijacked this from the lex site what are your thoughts bushwhacker?

You need a Walbro fuel pump, 250 l/per hour flow rate, as fitted to the Nissan Skyline R33. They're about £48 brand new off Ebay, which is where I got mine from.

                              Warning: Don't run them dry!!!!

Oh and a cheapie inline filter that can either be washed out or replaced easily. I've installed mine alongside the tank.
