Hello all,
I'm working on rebuilding a 1KZ-TE from a KZN185 over here in the USA, and ran into a possible issue after receiving the head back from the machine shop.
There are cracks in all 4 pre-combustion chambers (precups, swirl pots, whatever they're called). Has anyone ever seen this before? Obviously replacing them would be recommend, but they seem like relatively hard to find and expensive parts. Not to mention the lack of availability in my country. Any input is appreciated!
This is probably the worst one. It looks like the cracks would go all the way past the fire ring on the head gasket.
