    and so it goes on!

Latest update: The starting has seriously deteriorated over the weekend to the point where it wouldn't start at all yesterday - smoke from the exhaust but not firing. I took the pipe off the filter outlet and tried priming it - nothing ! So i blew out the fuel line to the tank but still couldn't get it to pump any fuel through - Is there an electric fuel pump ? When i had reconnected the hoses the truck did start eventually so maybe I'm on the right track ??

get out the air sensor out and, true the hole put some gas, count till 10? put the sensor back in, and straight away after the glow plugs worked crank it( for 30 secs?) with accelerator flat to matt, see how it does (my yellow one started like that)

Ok I know that would start it but i want to find out what's actually wrong with it ! I'm going to try switching the injector pump over from the old engine as I'm convinced the problem lies in the fuel delivery somewhere !!

          Finally sorted!

Ok just for everyone's information the problem with the truck was the tiny filter inside the injector pump - cleaned it out and everything is back to normal , it now starts on the first turn even on the recent cold mornings

you got me thinking, and opened to clean the filters too, but to my surprise the finest had massive holes, now looking for the right replacement,
what would you say its the right size of this?

If I understand you correctly, (I think) the filter you need is Part No. 22602-56350, and is easily available. Try this site: https://www.amayama.com

Nifty Nev put me onto it a year or so ago and it hasn't failed me. Just type the part number into the space available and set up the price for UK currency, and order it - comes quickly.

Okay, I thought you meant the small strainer in the side of the pump (the 2nd one in the video). If it is the one under the Spill Valve (as in your posted video) then I am wrong. Sorry.
Surely someone on here has an old pump laying around that will have the correct filter(s)....?
