Fuel pump

Ok need opinions please folks!

Ive been searching a fair bit and printed off loads for the removal of the fuel pump..... so just before i jump in (if the rain stays off)
1.Remove rad, airbox, timing cover, all pipes, lines etc
2.Undo 2 bolts at the back and the 2 at the front
3.Take off pulley (and key)
4.Jiggle pump to move the spline back (or do i need a puller?)
5.Pull backwards and remove

Fit new seals (leaking from the same place as the pic below i think(courtesy of Coolsv650 pic))

Anyone know of a detailed how to for this one with pics???

Is it going to be this simple or should i just get a replacement pump and do it that way?

Was this after running veg? looks like the stop sol or what ever they call it, mine did it after running on veg two surfs ago. Never took the pump off mine just changed the Denso sol and it was fine (£70) think i payed.

Is the leak where the arrow is pointing on the colour photograph? If so, that is the Timing Control Valve and it only has a gasket at the attachment end. That valve can be removed and replaced without removing the pump.

Thanks for the replies Folks and aye it seems to be from there just spoke to a Denso specialist up here and he can replace the seals for me for....waiting on quote but hopefully wont break the bank.... was thinking though, all the rest seemed to be fine until i repaired the top one then the other one went from the pressure change i guess so might just have to dig deep for this one. just one last question please if it was from the end is it easy to change in situ?

Only if you stand the truck on its nose.

The pump has to be stood on end, as apparently parts lay in place when rear removed, so will just fall out of you do it in car.

I've not done it, I just change pumps for good used ones usually. but was discussed not long ago. Think is was Muddle who changed the rear seal successfully.

Haha fair enough having no end of dramas just now anyone maybe have a pump for a good price

If you find out how much it is for 2 way postage is you can send the pump and a seal kit my way and ill sort it for you.

Thanks, really appreciate the help and would take you up on it but getting completely screwed as the truck was sitting outside sorned but someone complained about it so i moved it to private ground and i guess someone has an issue as i now need to get it off camp and sort it soonest as the missus is walking the lil ones to school about a mile and a half in crap weather 6 times a day. as you can imagine not a good situation
