Will di but I'm a bit limited on the Isle of Man. No luck so far. Heard that there may be a couple of surfs about to be crushed in the north of the Island. Gonna head out and try and locate them.

No the speedo is fine. I'm still trying to source an ECU.

Ok just to round this thread off in case someone searches and finds they have this problem. I tried everything and the only thing that worked is replacing the ECU. If it's a KZN 130 good luck finding one!

                Cheers Stormforce!

Sounds exactly what's happening to mine......mines much more intermittent though. First happened once last year.....had atf fluid changed and it seemed ok. But then it done it again about 6 months ago once or twice, a bit of a gap, then again two months ago. So had full service and asked for them to look for a problem....they came back saying that the fluid was a bit low but no other probs. Coming home tonight from Cornwall....my alarm for transmission? (showing 4 wheels +central orange light) came on while it was refusing to go up gear doing about 50mph? was only a mile or so away from home so just drove on!!? Wasn't in low. Sounds like I should suggest the garage looks at the Ecu?

Yup I would. I tried the ATF change and it did nothing. ECU change sorted it.

                        Back into the garage?

They found a vacuum hose that had split and reckoned it could have been causing probs so changed that. Seemed ok til today when doing another longish journey up to Oxford way. Same thing happened.....was doing 80 at 2500 rev then suddenly went up to 4500 revs. Dropped my speed to 50 ish and it eventually kicked back in and was fine for the rest of the journey? Is it still sounding like the ECU do you think?

It is sounding very much like the ecu.See if theres another 3.0l owner near you that you can try the ecu from their truck and see if that sorts it before spending £100 plus on a replacement

This is sounding like mines, Ln130 transmission
Mines started after i removed both batteries.
How did it started for you guys was it all of a sudden?

Abandon the ECU and convert it to tiptronic
