    • Thanks for that... the car looks ok to me too, yet wish it had a bittle lower mileage. Wondering whether it's worth for me travelling 85 miles to see it at the weekend. Looks like I could part-exchange also which would be ideal...

Oh, and there's also this one: http://ashleytradesales.co.uk/produc...90daced8bf7057
      Would prefer different colour, though.

      • Yes thats better, its burgundy!!!!!! Actually they both look good, one 85 miles away is newer, but one at garage, you should get warrunty with it.

Its def worth travelling to get a good one. I would go 85 miles and see it, may get a decent offer on old car,, What is it??

        • Uh... it's not an old car at all; it's the top of range 2000 Mitsubishi Shogun Pinin (leather, sat nav etc), 1.8 Gdi engine (wonderful!)... with only 43K on the clock, you see. iI'd keep it gladly, but I need more space to accommodate mountain biking gear.

          • Glass's guide book is coming up with a price of £2,250, if your trading in dont expect to get more than that, if you do they are being very generous for trading purposes.
            May be worth private sale.

I used to watch the secondhand car market closely

            • Forgot to say, mountain biking was my passion for a while. I had a Pace Frame, with shimano XTR gear train, and carbon fibre pace forks, Loved racing the pipeline in dartmoor. 10 years ago now mind.

              • Yes, I know how much the shogun is worth, but I think I'll still go for part-exchange just to save me the hassle (in Parker's the value for my model is £2850p/x). Plus, I don't have another car in the meantime. Your MTB gear was good... shame you no longer... I haven't yet gone to the carbon-side of things yet, but still I no longer fancy carrying bikes on the back of a car. May I thank you for your help, you're very kind.

                • No probs mate, carbon made no diff to me, i would have gone back to the old rock shox any day.

If you have no other car then yes it makes sense to partx, maybe youll get a straight swap if your a keen barterer.

If your gonna be constantly loading/unloading, give the back window and door assembly a right good testin.

Let us know when you get one

That blue one has a bit of ass-sag by the look of it. New springs required - not expensive and easy job but may be useful to beat the price down a bit!

The Burgundy one... is that Andrew Lee's old truck? If so, you might want to get in touch with him and ... erm... ask him about it before parting with readies!

I had an early ProFlex with Pace RC35s about 10 years ago. £350 for <1" of travel! Nicely made bit of bike bling though!

just look at the gap from the rear wheel arch to the tyre, once you've seen a few you will naturally see the butt sag

Yup they do - don't miss anythin' they don't. Speak to Andrew Lee like they said, might not be all bad.
How can I be lost when I've got no where to go

A-ha... are you saying the gap should be similar to the front arch one?
