ive decided to keep the 3 ltr another year cos i cant afford a 3rd gen
so i was thinking of spoiling her a bit
ive seen the front mounted intercooler on eblag for £95
but then when reading here ive seen people knock it for the top mounted version
also im considering new rear springs because the cheepo £40 "normal" springs i fitted when i had my head done are now just like the old ones were
my suspension switch works and i do use it often on the motorway to stabalise(sp) the ride which does get twitchy at 85
i do find the ride a bit hard no matter what mode im in with hard being very hard
i have the fuel cat combo fitted on the bulkhead where the chasis plate is so am not too sure about top mounting the intercooler and to be honest i dont want to cut a scoop into the bonnet
so my main questions are (suspension)
1; if i go for new 2" lift springs do i need the shockers?
2; do i also need the front tortion bars (springs or whatever they are called lol)
3 ; if i go for the procomp kit with everything in it ie- 2 springs 4 shox 2 front bars etc(or kit like it) what ride will i get will it be rough or spongy? as most of my driving is a/b/motorways with a swing off road every blue moon
4 ; would i have to alter anything else? ie- load sensing valve, brake pipes or wireing etc?
intercooler
1 ; is it worth fitting one in the first place as the one on eblag (front mounted) can be fitted for around £200 all in + fitting i get to this figure by thinking £95 for cooler and i suppose £100 for pipes etc???
will it make a difference?
will it give me better fuel economy and extra power at the same time or will i just use up the fuel saving by using the power?
2 ; the picture on the net for the one on eblag shows it mounted but the number plate looks like it will blank the air out and along with the pipes running up both sides of the engine (i presume) would that not make the air hot again?
3 ; if i went for top mounting is this way cheeper? and would i have to start cutting big holes for scoops
as always cheers for any answers
SORRY MODS please feel free to move if in wrong place
