richard have you checked the exhaust?could be loose or got dented and loosened a baffle.

no not yet.it is p1$$ing it down at the mo and i have got the rad out so as soon as i get it back in then i will get the surf in the garage and take a look in the dry when i do the oil change.You know of anywhere that do recon turbo's just in case i may need one

I doubt you'll find anyone who recons Toyota turbos, when I was trying to get one I spoke to two Turbo specialists and both said they are not allowed to and they can't get parts for them. Second hand 3.0 turbos are like rocking horse doo doos.

I sold my spare today so I can't help either I'm afraid.

no not yet Mark.i am just on the lookout for any places that may do them at the moment.i have found a couple of places on the net so i might give them all a ring this week just to get some prices and try to find out what others will fit

just taken the airfilter off and the pipe that goes over the top of the engine and it looks like i got half of salisbury gone thru it,so just taken it all inside and given it a good clean thru and i have just got the oil and filters delivered from milners and i will get the oil changed and new filters and see if the rattle is still there and if so then take it step by step till i find out what it is
