    has anyone had a right old battle getting the hub off there front axel? i want to change my front dics and cant seem to get the $$$$$$ thing off i undo the six nuts insert two eight m/m bolts tighten and give the whole lot a wack but it just wont free am i doing something wrong or shall i hit it harder?

    hit the drive plate on the edge, over each cone washer (mind the wheel studs) and it'll pop right off.

        Generally no, even if the gasket breaks it only holds grease in, not oil, and not much gets up past the locking nuts and washers anyway. I generally don't bother, just bit of RTV sealant if the gasket looks to bad.

          thanks again bit new to all this cold hands and swearing lark! still at least it will be raining tomorrow for my second attempt something to look foward to hey?
