  • Wheel not turning

Hi guys. I noticed the other day that the wee wheel in the middle that the air con belt rests on isn't turning. Is there an adjustment for it. Hope you know what i'm talking about. Thanks in advance regards garry

Wild guess here, but does your A/C work? and if it does, does the wee wheel turn when the a/c is switched on?
I think you may be looking at the wheel which only turns when a/c is on and system has enough gas in it.

If it's the small wheel above the belt you're talking about, it doesn't turn all the time. From what I can gather, it's only there to take up the momentary slack/whip that happens to the belt when the AC clutch engages.
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

Thanks Guys Will have a look in the morning and put a/c on to see what happens. I was under the impression it spun all the time against the belt, but will let you know .

It doesn't spin all the time, no need to let me know. And you'll likely see nothing when you put the air con on. As I said it's apparently only there to take up any whip in the belt when the AC kicks in.

With a new belt it may spin all the time but a worn belt will not make contact. There's no adjustment. Make sure the bearing in it is ok and not seized.
