  • stop solenoid?

Hi, my Surf doesn't start anymore, tried all morning. On the stop solenoid there is a connector with 2 wires; with the ignition on there is 6v on both wires, with ignition off,5.75 V on both wires. That can't be right, can it? Could be the imobiliser? (Sigma alarm ac 110,don't have the code to dissable it). Thanks

I'm sorry,Ive just find out the one I was measuring is the Speed sensor, the Spill Control Valve is farther to the back of the pump

whatever you do do not put 12 volts to any senders/solenoids on the pump.you will blow them.trace wires back on immobiliser and cut them out, thats the best way to remove it.(you will find that most if not all ecu wiring systems are 6 volts.)

Problem sorted. What it was,I've cut the wire that goes from the loom to the glow plugs, and replaced with a new one from relay straight to glow plugs. No good! The original wire is connected to the ECU and thru ECU it commands the Spill Control valve to open.Reconnected the old wire and no problem. Thanks

would that be a 12 volt or a 6 volt feed???? if 12 volt then you will damage the spill control valve.

In my ignorance,I put 12v feed on Speed Sensor, not on SCV,so far doesn't look like I,ve done any damage to the sensor.I didn't touch the Spill Control Valve
