    Having had the heads go on both the trucks we have owned, i saw the damage it did and how expensive it was to fix! It can also do alot more damage to leave it and drive it around, which means more money to save and maybe longer to wait until you can afford to fix it!

        I was just thinking,i might as well throw a 2.8 in without the turbo.Ithink these do cause a lot of problems as there not intercooled.Apart from that i thought the 2.8 had the same problems as the2.4.But the later 2.8 were modifed engines,i dont now if im right or not.Any way would a 2.8 go straight in.

          If the bottom end of the 2.4 is ok, why not put the 2.8 head on it ?

            The garage were i took it said it was warped so many decrease.im going to phne steveo in the near future to let him have a look.If i get away with just the head i was thinking of putting the the 2.8 on.but what about the turbo ect.Hopefully it is only the head fingers crossed and cheers trev.Ijust dont want to scrap her.Spent to much on her,but i can wait till shes fixed.
