This morning I replace the injector with the ones from my old head as i know these 4 were working to see if I could get the truck to start. still the same though, will fire up on the starter motor but as soon as the starter motor is disengaged the engine dies, also smokes extremely when trying to run. Its been off the road for three weeks now and the taxi fares have used all my money as well now. Has anybody previously had this problem or any ideas what could cause it to happen?

When I think more about it, black smoke can also be poor atomisation. Poor atomisation can be due to duff injectors or an under performig pump (not enough pressure), check them next.
