2.4 on biodiesel
I'm getting 225-250 miles (approx - the speedo reads a bit high, so i guess the odo might be out too) from a £50 fill up of biodiesel, at 90p per litre.
thats 250 miles on 55.55 litres
thats 250 miles on 12.24 gallons
thats 20.4 mpg
it was about the same on fossil diesel too.If you're gonna be a bear... be a Grizzly.

Mileage
Hi all, I get about 350km on a full tank here in Trinidad. I have also have a Honda Accord (gas) and I get about 290km on a full tank. The difference is the Surf cost about $70 to fuel and the Accord $160 (TT Dollars of course, exchange is 1tt to 6.30 us)

fuel consumption
Hi all,
When surf is running, (having new head at moment!!) I get 26 or 27 mpg if I don't use supermarket fuel, with supermarket fuel I get 24 mpg. I have a 2.4 diesel manual.
Not as economical as the Discovery I had before, but less heavy on tyres so it balances out over the year.
I would be interested to hear what other engines, eg 3.0 manual and 3rd gen manual and 3rd gen manual with intercooler do.
Oh and I get the same mpg when towing, I don't think thats too bad

I didn't buy the surf for the fuel economy either. Otherwise I would use the bike more!Bring me the head of a treehugger

Sorry to bring up a older thread...
I just went on a longish trip averaging around 100kph (60mph) and filled up after 450km with 55lt (12.22l/100km or 23.12mpg) which for an auto with big treads and a bit of weight (Me, Wife and 3 kids and all associated stuff for a weekend away) isnt too bad... the trip up was a bit heavy footed and on the way back quite light, so thats not a bad average..1993 HiLux Surf (mine)
