The green one should come on when the turbo is boosting, usually about 1800 - 2000 rpm and go out when not. the red one is the engine management light and should only come on when you have a problem with engine. Have a look at the bottom of this page. Do a search on engine management light.

Apologies for asking, but could you rephrase that question in a manner that makes it properly understandable? Cheers.

Doesn't mean that everything is going as it should. mine was going fine for about 3 weeks after i bought it and BOOM the head cracked. This was due to the t*at i bought it off removing the stat. innevitabely (think thats how its spelt) engine overheated and head popped. warning lights are there for a reason, ignoring them could cost you dearly.

Hi David, I'm no auto electricle expert but if it started playing up when this guy fitted a CD player it's possible he's connected summat up wrong, i assume the player is fitted in the center dash (with the radio), I'd start by removeing the dash center and dissconecting the player, check the wireing is not damaged and see if this cures your mad dash light's, then take it from there, do a search for dash removal, its not as bad as it looks! ian
