Got to work this morning and popped the hood to look for leaks bit couldn’t see nothing in there hopefully stopped that one but when looking in wheel arch I saw this http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y69...f/DSC00139.jpg
The bolt hole is open to a oil chamber, undo it and put dome sealant on the bolt thread and do it up.
I've seen a couple of truck with this bolt missing, and oil drips slowly out the hole.
4x4toys.co.uk - Keeping you on and off the road...
Thanks m8
I'm servicing it this w-end, and ill replace the filter as well just in case its that. whilst i'm at it i will try the bolt you mention as well and put silicon round that
as well.
kev.
Only thing i'm worried about is the fuel filter
and how to do it without causing any prob's
kev.
Unplug the sensor at the bottom, then just unscrew it
from the filter head. Most awkward part is removing
the drain plug from the bottom. I've got one of those
big tubular spanners that you pop the tommy bar
through which makes it easier. When you pop the
new filter on, keep pumping the plunger on the head
until it goes stiff. (No matter how hard you try, you
can't describe that bit in a smutless fashion).

Just to add to that, before fitting the new filter, fill it with this and it will give your injectors a flush/clean.
Yeah, the bolt in the pic that fixes the turbo support bracket, looks like oil could be seeping out of it and running down looking at the pic.
Wiped this down tonight and sat and watched it run down again, looks like you are right m8 will sort this at w-end as you suggested when servicing.
Checked all around the rocker cover tonight after a couple of days running it and it looks like all is well for a change(must get a manual)could of saved a lot of hasstle

...... unless it’s the oil filter its only hand tight.
Anyone ells had this leak and know what it is.
kev.
As no one else has clarified this yet - the filter is only supposed to be hand tight. When you put the new filter on, lightly coat the rubber seal on the filter with clean engine oil and screw it on til the rubber seal contacts the shiny flat surface on the filter mount. Then just tighten it by hand which is usually almost another full turn, I think. Then check it again by hand after a day or two.
Just had another go at it.
It's that tight Looks like it's got to be cracked with a hammer And maybe without the filter in the way. (an yet oil only drips when engine is running)
Not been serviced since i got it last year cant remember name of oil but it was 15w40 mineral oil.
Will be serviced this w-end with tesco 15w40 and new filters all round
But this time it will be serviced every 3000 miles
