I have managed to get hold of a dump valve from a Toyota MR2 turbo. i just wanted to know where to plumb the little vacum pipe on the valve into as Diesel turbo engines dont seem to rin a vacum as petrols. I know you can run the dump valves as i have seen them on the Austrailian website and on Mercedes Sprinters of all things.

Is your truk an auto? If so this will not be a good idea as you dont shut the throttle between gear shifts in an auto and so a dump valve will be useless.

here you go, if you must make your truck sound like kettle to fit in down McD's.............

Your truck takes long enough to spool up at the best of times, believe me, you don't want to depressurise the intake anymore than you have to!4x4toys.co.uk - Keeping you on and off the road...

A lifted truck is great down the drive-thro, the other evening my head lights actually shone over the top of some stupid sticker covered Civic. If I got close enough, I almost managed to make him disappear.4x4toys.co.uk - Keeping you on and off the road...

O.K here is my two cents worth.
I had a look at BOV's myself.
I ended up just disabling the throttle butterfly as its only job really was to engage the EGR ( gone ).
I found that with the butterfly locked open I was getting much less turbo lag and it was quicker to come on boost through gear changes.
If you have got a BOV and can be bothered fitting it then great, the effect will be similar.
Let us know how you go.Simon.O.
