rule of thumb... disconnect everything... lift engine... drop in engine... re-connect everything.
anyone know if a ford 1.6 CVH fits the same mountings as a 1.6 Zetech?
just that i can get an RST cheap and i have an oil leak in the zetech that needs engine out anyway... could be fun!nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!

The Escort originally ran the CVH engine so you need the mounts with the engine and it will fit . None of the wirring will be right or airfilter box .It needs to be an EFI RST not the HPI(Bosch) engine or you will have to change fuel pump and fuel tank and fuel pipes to tank . You need all ancillaries , loom etc for it to work .Rick...Member of 1st Gen club. ONE LIFE ... GET ONE !!

thought it more fun than putting 1.6 90ps back in!
p.s. it's a Mk6, so i think only came with zetech.Last edited by da SLUG man; 20 December 2005, 13:31.nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!
