Hello,
Having recently done the EGR mod, with a view to getting more power out of the engine, here's an update.
Just towed the horse box with two large ponies up to Builth Wells, about 100 miles and the odd Welsh hill.
Box = 1000kg, ponies = @900 kg, other equipment = @200 kg, so a good 2000kg towing (plus @2000 kg of Surf and peoples).
On the hills didn't notice that much difference. On the flatter parts (really, there are one or two around here) the truck seemed to be much more willing to get into the sweet spot the engine seems to have (@2,500 rpm, 60mph, below this it struggles).
So, my conclusion - EGR staying disconnected for the time being.
Thanks to Mr. Bushwacker for the advice.
Regards
