    OH NO!!!! wife just bought some cooking oil from tesco she asked me to fill up the deep fat frier , misheard her and put it in my surf old age making me deaf

    if you ring this number 01702 367451 or 0845 010 9000 cant remember which i rang and ask for the form ex103 they will send it to you to fill in and return.if you need help with filling the form in do a search for EX103 and there is one there you can follow

    you don't need to do any mods at all but you should declare it to customs.
    Just go to tesco fill up a trolley with some of their finest and pour it straight into the tank but you should get a spare fuel filter to be ready to change as the veggie will loosen the crud in the tank

    I've not long had my Surf and didn't know anything about running them on veggie oil until I met a guy on holiday, he told me he was running his on veggie oil and diesel mix. What do I have to do to be able to run mine on veggie oil? Do I need to make any mods to my surf and how do I register as a biofuel producer even tho I'm a mere electrician? Any helpful tips would be much appreciated

    As always, the following page is a good source of reference with regards
    to the abilities of different oils:

    It gives a comparative list of differences and values.

    Apart from a slightly higher iodine content, most other relevant parts
    seem close to rapeseed and sunflower.

    I just keep the hose sucking the oil into the transfer pump at a height just above the gloop layer. That way it only sucks the good oil into the pump. You occasionally get a bit of gloop going through (especially when you near the end), but that gets trapped in the filters anyway.
