              Snoop/LottieS16 - Welcome!

I think it's the TV rather than the DVD you have a problem with over here isn't it? (here's me preparing to be wildly wrong!).

However, you can get them converted to pick up UK TV - it's jusy a matter of cost (and me remembering where I'd seen the service advertised). Pretty sure you can find a link to a firm recommended by Lexus/Toyota Soarer owners, as they pretty much all have TVs in them (that's the Soarers, not the owners [I think] - although someone on here may also have done something with this.

              Enjoy

dvd should be ok, tv tuner will be ntsc (uk is pal) and the tuning range will differ from uk although you can get ntsc to pal converters.

                    check these people out

So place your bets now whether he will keep his promise!

So are there any regional meets in our area Sussex as I am dying to go proper off roading as the last time I went I wasn't old enough to drive and it was down sand dunes so it'd be nice to go and play in some mud!

No problems we can get the DVD working here and the PAL thing only needs an adapter!! I'll ask my Dad he was always converting stuff from all the different countries we have lived in! Maplins here we come!

Thanks for all the advice and links chaps and chapettes! Looks like we should be able to use the dvd/tv eventually then Hopefully picking up the beast tomorrow which would royally cheer me up as I'm currently full of a nasty cold
Our Surf will be christened the Snoop DeVille or SDV for short - all my cars end up with this nickname. We won't be hard to spot as the reg will say SDV so if you see us about, give us a wave!

We can't wait to do some off-roading and will try and get along to one of the days - however, being total novices, is there any equipment you guys recommend we should have before considering it and/or are there any weak spots or mods you recommend sorting first?
