Oh crap!!! heres to being honest . Just done the rear window thing, pulled the car apart trying to find why it wouldnt work from the switch inside. Then realised i locked the windows the night before to stop the kids playing with them.( I like to be in full control in my surf!!!!!!!!!)Also did the park thingy when i went to pick the car up. Had to ask the guy why couldnt get the keys out Hmmmm so embarrassing.

Please dont talk about car oil the missus is still on my case about it . Did that as well!!!

Car also has a 30 second lock system. I always carry a spare key now!Not saying how many times iv done it!!!
I always work better wet .

Its why I became a plumber!!!

It's apparantly becuase the turbo spindle is floating in oil and therefore not earthed at either end. It creates that horrible crunchy noise you get on AM on the ordinary car radio too. Only occurs when the turbo kicks in. Unfortuanately there doesn't seem to be a way round it.
This is one nicely hijacked thread. Ahem!

How come your posts are wider than everybody elses? I have to scroll right over to the right to find the reply button.

Then Tony decided that we should use the other key, (not worn). So Linda gets in the car, drives it, stops it and trys to get the key out of the ignition. No joy - it wont come out. So I check its not in gear, handbrake etc.. Give it a good wiggle and tug, eventually I have to ask Tony and he points out a small button on the top of the steering column that needs to be depressed to release the key! He assumed I'd always used it! I did feel silly as I didnt even see it!!
I done some stoopid fings in my time but NEVER that one.
I mean the 1st gen aint that technical,I surpose my most recent FUBAR was at the 4x4 show when I tryed the mud pit in 2WD and didnt realise until Rick (vagrant no2) pointed out my error
