Do you want it too?
Nah, didn't think so.
Flush the system, replace the anti-freeze and check for any rad damage and you should be OK.

or else you could just flush your entire cooling system: rad and engine, fill it with coolant, keep a regular eye on the level in the bottle and the state of your rad just like with any other car
A new thermostat and rad filler cap is good practice too
Wilkommen to the fold
(all that said and I personally have not replaced the stat or cap and have slight seepage at the top right of my rad and also am aware that I need to top up the bottle level but instead tonite I took off the old broken aerial and then flushed the cooling system on my old VW which hasnt been used for nearly a year )Last edited by JimL; 12 October 2003, 21:35.

actually sir tis green (when I wash it, and I already did that this year ... in April)
grey import has to be a derogatory term first used by some #### from Toyota UK or Mitsi UK on a radio interview when he was asked why punters dont want to buy his cars

what's a grey import? this term is normally used in connection with used vehicles originally intended for the Japanese domestic market imported by independent motor traders in to the UK from Japan. Why grey import? No one seems to be sure. I've always assumed, possibly quite wrongly, that it describes a product that does not fit into the usual (ie black and white) areas of new and used, and therefore attracts the term 'grey'. For all I know it may be that the first used MX5 shipped from Japan was brought in by a Mr Grey and unwittingly he spawned a whole new phrase. If you are interested enough you could always ask car salesman at your local franchised dealer. If he didn't know, he would almost certainly make something up. Lord knows they've had plenty of practice..If life's an uphill struggle then downhill from now on can't be that bad?!
