Hi,
Tea and biscuits anyone lol, I was a mechanic in my younger days just not good on diesels, it must be something simple as once it starts it drives perfect and starts first time every time once it has got going in a morning ( bit like the Mrs)
I will get to the bottom of it as I love the truck and it will be staying with me for a long time, it won't beat me 👍

Andy they also suffer from air in system, more noticeable on cold start.

Caused by faulty fuel primer(black disc on top of fuel filter),allowing fuel to
run back from injectors/pump overnight.

Ok sorted I will order one and get it fitted see if that's the problem.
