thanks, mark think its going to be a couple of weeks before i can get to you.truck off the road at the moment ,things to do.wheels, tyres, lights etc. was hoping saturday 28th might be good for you and stringer?
thinking about getting the RT 2''over torsion bars, with the 20% increase uprated springs and coil spacers,so you can save the delrin spacers for a customer?
    what do you think?
Sounds like a plan to me.

    • Ok,great. i'll do a major Roughtrax shop, tomorrow (will tell barry your t-shirt is broken!)
going to get a price for a metre of 170+ Ali bar, tomorrow ,from our suppliers. looking at 5 sets of 2'' coil spacers (or would you prefer 3'' ?) which i think would be popular, and easy to do ,even on the 'semi' CNC lathe. should be able to do it in one opp, with a good finish, and lots of chamfers and rads to make it look pretty.

Cool. I think 2" would be prefferable. Its an easier more common lift to do. Dont get me wrong +3" is ok but you have to do a bit more shopping around for shocks and then start adjusting panhard and suspension geometry.

            • Scotty, if your knocking up coil spacers I wouldn't mind a 1" set to lift my sagging 2" springs😊

ID:	1259080Mark, i now have 3 ever so slightly different drawings for coil spacers, and a question.
with the 2'' RT torsion bars, does the spacer have to be 50mm in length, overall, or to the shoulder, the deamon 4x4 drawing Ian sent me is only 38mm to the shoulder.
just thought i'd ask before i machine them, don't want my front higher than my rear!

                      • I had spacers with the standard torsion bars and got the truck level, They were well wound up...but it was level

i've got the RT 2'' extended bars, i was concerned that the smaller (38mm) spacers and these would mean the front end was up high?
                          or am i wrong ?

                          • You adjust the bars to what you require there is about 2 inches of play in normal bars but you stiffen the ride when you wind them up , with the +2 bars you can keep the ride quality.....Well that's the way i understand it..... i may be wrong

                            • right,cheers ian.
the only reason i ask,is that with new springs and the 2'' spacers,i belive im pushing the original shocks to the max, travel wise. thats why i wanted to make the deamon spacers which are only 38mm to the shoulder,in essence,1 1/2 ''
                              is that logical?

If you don't have the travel in the shocks then your wasting your time i was also running +2 procomp shocks .... i see if i can find a photo
