Could be. If you're driving north with a southerly wind you'll get 65mpg. You get the best mpg in this direction as a southerly wind is generally warmer, therefore the air is less dense. In the northern hemisphere, anyway.

done as pic shows, 90 degree slightly pointing down, and it works fine, no fumes in, (excuse the work in progress, no bumper, ...)

This is what you need. No fumes through the back window, but a fantastic sound track when you drive with the nearside rear window cracked open a bit..

Love the recovery bar- makes perfect sense having seen one of those points bend with very little effort applied...

As for the fantastic soundtrack, you fitted a Soundracer or summat?

I managed to bend one of the points slightly too. Not sure how I am going to straighten it. Got an new L200 bar to fit instead of the tow bar; I can't cross-brace it though as I have an underslung spare tyre. I will attach recovery points as well.

No John. It's not so much a "V8 rumble", but with a free flowing 3" S/S system turbo to tail, you get a nice healthy "Tractor crackle", with just a hint of turbo whistle on over run..

Mmmmm! tractor crackle.... sounds like my d4d on start up... or is that just the injectors...
You'll need to delete the air box and have a K&N cone now, to get the full turbo flutter and induction roar...!

                            POWWWWERRRRR!

I've been thinking about putting a K&N filter in place of the OE cartridge. I believe the airflow volume is a lot higher. It would have to stay inside the old air box though, otherwise there would be no point in having the snorkel on.

Before you spend your hard earned remember k&n's offer freer air flow when your engine needs it the most ie at the top of the rev range. in reality hiw often do you drive at WOT and on the red line?
Gonna put my neck on the line here and say you won't ever use the extra air flow they can deliver. at low revs most filters are adequate for the job. Thats why they are fitted as standard. Im waffling now but ypu get my drift?
