    Gonna put my neck on the line here and say you won't ever use the extra air flow they can deliver. at low revs most filters are adequate for the job. Thats why they are fitted as standard. Im waffling now but ypu get my drift?

        An open cone filter will reduce performance due to heat soak unless you have an intercooler fitted.

            I Will be binning off the airbox when I make my snorkel, I will use a closed filter, making sure all the gaps are watertight.

            I fitted the filter in place of the standard airbox making use of the original intake, I did feel a better pick up.
