Neither the 2.4L or the 3L 2nd Gen should be towing in excess of 1500kg if they want to comply with the law according to a number of sources including sources based on manufacturer's specifications. Not sure what is so difficult to understand about that?

I'm going by the Manufactures Plate stamp,made by TOYOTA,and stamped by TOYOTA,and that gives the Gen 2 a towing capacity of 2200 KG not 1500KG. I don't have to trawl the net,I just lift the bonnet!!
