Agreed !
Two of my nephew's have both got Sunday toys - one picked up a Tiger with a 2.3 Saab turbo in it and his twin brother got a Cerbera. The Cerbera came in at over the £6k but I think the Tiger was within budget - it had turbo problems which they soon sorted out
Life is too important to take seriously !

You have £6k to buy a car.
It must be reasonably reliable and have reasonable access to spares.
Insurance is not a problem.
Fuel consumption is not a problem.
Practicality is not a problem.
Comfort is not a problem.
What do you buy?Only Toyota can get you out of shite

Without a second thought I would get another BMW 330d Power 200+bhp Fuel economy 42mpg comfort and 4 doors, not much more you could ask for. Definately an all rounder but forget about using it in snow and ice
That's why I got the Surf, but I do miss the beemer in "normal" weather.

Hey Adam.
You can get a mk111 Escort estate shell. You can also get an LS400 for say,£600, a decent transit back axle. A decent welder, plasma cutter and some time. Around 5k will get you an 84' mk111, 1uzfe powered, rear wheel drive escort.
Or my summer project as it's known.Non intercooled nothing.
