  • Insurance cost

    Hi Guys,

What are you paying for your insurance, and who are you insured with? - Got a 3.0 Gen 2 and it's about a grand a year, i'm 32 with a clean license...

Seems a bit expensive as my other cars are a lot cheaper.

    Thanks,

    Simon

My 2nd gen 2.4 is costing me 190 a year . Just had quote off same company on a 3.0l manual 2nd gen and came back at 290 a year .
I'm 31 , full ncb , clean liscence etc and that's with the wife to drive aswell and she's only had her liscence 3 years.

Who are you insured with mate? - That seems a bit more sensible then what i'm paying!

Thats very good. We can't get much less than £500... full NCB, limited mileage etc..
Will have to put you and your missus on as named drivers and see what happens...

Somehow methinks I'm being FLUXED a little then. Mines on business as well. Maybe next year I'll shop around properly...

As recommended by Bushwhacker, I got a deal last week for Laura and myself with 7yrs NCB - fully comp / 12k miles per year / full business use / 3rd party use on other vehicles - £475.

In january Flux were quoting over £600, this time around they were just under £500.

I think I'm paying about £380 for the V6, (36, 7yrs no claims but 1 accident on record). That's with A-Plan on specialist 4x4 cover.

A Plan have always been the cheapest for me, been with them since I got my truck. Each year the renewal quote comes through and its a bit steep, go and shop around, get a cheaper quote and they manage to just beat it each time.

                            Cheers

Best quote I ever got was about £250 with NFU.

Shame really because they were trying to sell me insurance for a completely different vehicle. You just know that despite it being their mess up they wouldn't pay out if anything went wrong.

Currently £500 with Flux, down £200 on the previous year due to a bit of bartering.
