i bend 2mm wall 316 dairy pipe on a hand bender. i use hilmor formers and guides on 1" 11/2" and 2". the benders fixed to the floor but i must admit i use a 3m long handle for the 2" stuff and lots of grunt.

the bends come out pretty good but i cant get as tight a radius as the bought bends.

the frames are 1' tube and the exhausts are 11/2" and 2' in the pics

I removed mine back in Feb due to the rust.I picked up a bumper from a mitsibushi that fitted using the same fixings as the tow bar. It could do with end caps but I'm happy. I got stopped by a taxidriver a couple weeks ago asking where I got it from as he wanted to do the same but I've not got a clue what mitsi it came off

Sorry you won't buy a decent AC/DC TIG for £300 mate and as for the make Cebora are in the top flight and have been there for decades.

Had a quick look and this is probably the best AC/DC budget one out there at the min. Free pedal which is very handy and all for 650

Could not justify spending that type of money for just occasional fab work.(The cebora one)

Those frames are awesome all hand bent . I love engineering you can see.

This all gives me a few different options than just machine mart .

Did you get a pedal Vince they are very handy especially when doing the likes of exhausts

No pedal, but there are more fine tuning knobs on it than a space shuttle!

Got an arc reactive mask though.

A TIG will do all jobs just slower than a MIG on mild steel hence most hobby guys use MIG. TIG is also a little trickier to get good at but if you are doing detail work like roll cages and exhausts where you don't want to dress the welds then TIG is ideal. I am a little bias as I used a TIG every working hour for 7 years before a change of career.

I am sure you will love it mate TIG runs can be so neat. You can always add a pedal later if you feel the need.

Looking forward to seeing the projects you get up to now.
