    Agree with Smurf above...if they were done on the private sector then the private sector should foot the bill.

    Todays news - the government will remove private sector implants if the original private sector clinic declines to do so..so that will be them all then...

      Which is why I said 'Privately purchased'. Breast implants aren't normally used after breast cancer. The preference is to use the patients own tissue to re-build the breast.

      Also, please, don't specify 'women' when talking about breast cancer. When Shirley was going through chemo. for hers, there were 2 men going through the same treatment for the same cancer. One was only 22.
