The recaros are famously uncomfortable (for some). Check some out before buying. 2nd gen seats are great, but the trick is to tip the actual seat bit forward a little bit.

Get them in rusty.......look as good as they are comfy.. Yours look in great nick.
      .... Which was nice.

At the risk of sounding like a whinging old dad.....
Have just done another 400 mile round trip and once again my back is suffering with the seats in my 3rd Gen.
The seats are in ok condition. Nothing obviously wrong with them. I'm 6'1" so maybe it's just me.
So....I too am looking to replace them with something more comfortable ("Dad" territory!). Any practical and tested solutions?
I've read about the Celica 7 (specially a 7 Gen?), Saab and iirc a Ford Grandad (how appropriate).

I'm 6'2"ish and I find the steering wheel in my 3rd gen doesn't extend close enough to me. I have to have the seat back excessively upright to be able to move it back and get my legs in and still reach the steering wheel. Otherwise I find I pull myself away from the back of the seat and that can be uncomfortable on a long trip.
I'd like to extent the reach of the steering wheel and have a seat that was a bit more longer and supportive for my legs and was a inch or so lower on it's mountings to provide a bit more head room.

I have some range rover classic seats lying around. I wonder if they'll fit.
