  • Hottest curry ever

I just ate something about an hour ago, and my face is still numb. Cant remember what it was called - something I've never heard of, but there was lots of chilis evident, and it was full of ostrich. I needed rather a lot of Kingfisher to put that fire out.

Big 'up' to Tale of Spice 2 in Westbury (Wilts) for producing such an animal. I've been playing with Jackal 2 and Husky today at Warminster Land Warfare Centre, and fully expect to suffer 'ring of fire' before I go home in the morning!

Nope - I looked at something with naag in the name though. Said it was 'quite hot'. This said 'very hot' but it was hot on a scale I haven't experienced since a Brazilian restaurant in Albuquerque where I was physically disabled by a meal! This was a meltdown on 'reactor 3' sort of scale, you know, containment vessel intact - for now...

The Naga chilli (I mis-spelled it earlier) or whatever else it's called (bhut jolokia ?) is one of the hottest chilis in the world. Hence my question - I had a Naga chili curry a couple of months back that left me sore for a day

I've got a bag of seeds in the shed but it's too late to start growing them this year. Bought them from the South Devon Chili Farm.

Spice and beer - never fails.

          Rob.

Najadar, thats the one! Nice one Charlie! Too many Kingfishers to operate Google properly now I'm afraid.

That one I had in Albuquerque left me with peeling skin on my lips for two weeks. I dont care what you say, that's TOO hot!

Rob - Perfect combo. A weird sort of legal high is available if you choose carefully Cobra and Bengal Brasserie Vindaloo works well

              Phaal?

I believe that particular dish is akin to lighting a marine distress flare in your digestive system.

Used to know a guy who was a manager at the local Ford dealership. He took a Ford rep out for a Phaal and the rep disappeared for several days and got chased up by his bosses cos they didn't know where he was!

Funny thing was, a couple of chaps from the kitchen came out and stood by the bar watching me.

First few mouthfuls were 'mmmm, thats lush', which turned to 'oooerrrr' then to 'feckBEERBEERBEERBEERBEER!!!!! '

I have a 3 odd hour drive back tomorrow, so need to 'clear out' before that. Lucky I have a decent pain threshold
