When at bike rallies I always have a wet wipe wash in a morning. I use Windolene on shiny chrome bits. Classic bike owner gave me the tip.

Here's a bike cleaning question. The furry bits that have started living on my (alloy) engine casings, how do I get rid of them without causing more damage to the casings?

L85a2 is the heckler and koch upgrade to the l85a1 or commonly known as the sa80 assault riffle. The a2 is what we are issued now as the general service assault riffle in the British armed forces. Also wd40 works great on the gas parts instead of scrubbing with scotch brute the carbon wipes off if you wd40d it

Erm, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if some of you are using these to wipe your butt I hope you aren't flushing them down the toilet! Toilet paper has a very low wet strengt,h which is why it dissolves in water, to help the sewage pipes and system cope with it. Wet Wipes (naturally) have a very high wet strength and will not dissolve in the pipes etc.

If you don't want to be paying a fortune to get your drains unblocked I'd use good old bog roll for the purpose it was designed for!
'Tis better to sting than to be stung!

heres some shiny alloy and stainless andy.

if its got lacquer on the alloy the only way is remove it and re do it - the water gets under the surface when the lacquer is chipped
