A tip for the shinies

Here's a bike cleaning question. The furry bits that have started living on my (alloy) engine casings, how do I get rid of them without causing more damage to the casings?

Johnston's Baby Wipes.

I was struggling to get the seat from my 'bike clean so Shirley suggested using the baby wipes. The seat came up like new, I was impressed...

Nooo, I just thought about doing it. And I only cleaned the seat because it was off, in the house and I was drinking beer whilst cleaning it.

I've never found a valet company that will clean my bike, so I'm forced to do it myself.

I got caught out with the bad weather, that's why it wasn't covered.

I'm thinking the furryness was caused last year when I covered it while it was damp. This year, I tried to get it dry before I covered it, but the weather buggered up!
