Tow bar.Twin electrics ?

I have twin electrics set up on my Surf. Ok,ones for trailer lights. Is the second one for caravan electrics,does that mean it has a feed to charge an Aux battery?
Was thinking of adding a small battery to rear of truck just for running aux 12volt things,maybe a night heater as well. Thinking i could just take a feed to battery off the socket?

Usually it does BUT ...

there are different wiring schemes dependent on the age of the caravan that was intended to be towed ...

There seems to be a few power options,but i take it the battery one would be all i need.(No.2) and the earth to the negative (No.3). Or just earth to chassis?

Correct. No. 2 (Blue wire) goes to the caravan battery to charge it when the truck's engine is running.
