eachto your own,its your truck so do as you please
i've always had that oulook,if you think you'll look a nob driving it,then dont do it..
if you'll love it then who cares what others think
i love matt black cars, but there is so many now that have been, soi've been thinking of doing something in a satin finish dark grey with somepinstriping etc - bit hot rod style- not sure it'd suit the surf, but still might
having something personal will never please all imagine howdull the world would be if we all have the same tastes

However also consider that it will more than likley drop the resell value of the vechile and reduce the number of people interested when you do come to sell it.

Genuinely yet to see a "good" camo paint job on the road. Most look like they're home made, and you don't get the proper effect if you don't do it properly. Personally can't stand them, but each to their own...."B.A." Baracus: "Talk to me, talk sense so I can talk back. Not all this jibberjabber like breaking the peace and all that."

There are some real good looking camo paint jobs to be seen at custom shows. They don't have to be the traditional type. Bright colours and abstract designs, even designs based on nature, like reptiles/snakes, butterflies, other insects, a variety of mammals, exotic and common. Not sure how this is gay.. It is nice to see individuality amongst the normal vehicle masses. Grey on grey. Now thats boring. Metallic grey, black or silver boxes, driving down a similar coloured asphalt road. Thats good camouflage, especially on a grey, drizzly morning. Stealth tactics or what? I get the point about resale value. Agreed. If you don't intend to get rid of your super truck, than maybe it dosn't matter so much. For the older surfs it's not such a big deal, but a suppose it is relative to ones budget. I am tempted to do the camo thing myself, on a budget of course, but I don't see that is should cost a fortune. I have always worried about the disruptive pattern effect though and even with bright colours it is proven to work. So it is a dilemma!.....I always wondered if an insurance company might try some trick due to visibility, to get out of an accident claim involving a camo paint job vehicle.?. Ummm. It's nice to see something a bit brighter and different on the road though.Last edited by timelord; 9 December 2010, 02:49.
