I belive that it's 30 years today since John Lennon was shot and killed. Can you remember where you were when you heard the news. I was at Ryton on Dunsmoor Police Training Centre just outside Coventry. Funny how things come back. 30 years,lord thats scarry, must be older than I thought I was.

I was 15, and I was out 'hanging round' with mates - we had a little radio and heard it on a news flash. I had long hair, a brown duffle coat, a Dr Who type scarf and was going out with a girl called Laura. One of my mates I was with was called Tony Smith who was going out with Laura's cousin (who's name escapes me at the mo). I seem to remember it was pretty cold. There might even have been a scattering of snow on the ground.
